I am a Prospective: Student Parent

The Kents Hill Fall Outing Club enjoys many of the natural areas in the immediate vicinity of campus. Local hikes and waterways are accessed on a daily basis.  During longer afternoon or weekend excursions, the groups enjoy longer paddles and higher mountains are hiked. Students practice the philosophy of ‘leave no trace’ and ‘carry in-carry out’ policies while enjoying the natural setting to ensure that it remains pristine.  Skills that are developed include map reading, setting up a tent, using camping stoves, paddling skills/techniques, and the proper attire for New England weather conditions.
